  • The Product Designer is responsible for the functional product definition process and the specification of product requirements and oversees in particular, the requirements management, architectural analysis, scope management and, the functional design. 
  • He/she is fluent in English and utilizes a customer-focused, results-driven, structured approach and has an excellent knowledge of MS Dynamics NAV from a functional point of view.

Responsibilities in Detail:


Requirements Management 
  • Along with the Product Lifecycle Manager assumes an important role in the functional productdefinition process and prepares the required input for the business case 
  • Is responsible for the specification of product requirements in coordination with the other related company departments and, manages the incoming product requirements from the channel, i.e., analyzes, consolidates, communicates, preselects 
  •  Is responsible for tools and processes to manage product requirements and release scope 
  •  Decides on product-specific changes and transmits input to final decision instance 
  • Estimates the cost for offer preparations

Architectural Analysis 
  • Is involved in the architectural analysis (decomposition of the system into subsystems and components, mapping of requirements and features on subsystems and components) 

Scope Management 
  • Manages the release scope of defined releases (single scope topics and as overall releases) 
  • Manages required release scope changes aligned with affected further departments 
  • Initializes release realization projects and the hand-over to Project Management; monitors results regularly and escalates deviations pro-actively 

Functional Design
  • Creates implementation instructions for the technical realization of software applications 
  • Advises car manufacturers (OEM’s) and international partners regarding the implementation of requirements and the impact of processes in the DMS 
  •   Monitors the development of requirements throughout the entire software development process (Development, Q & A, Documentation) 
  • Is the single point of contact for all dealership related processes and automotive expert knowledge

Skills and Specifications:

  • Strong functional experience and business background in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (with focus on latest version)  and Vehicle importer and/or dealership processes 
  • Strong functional experience and business/branch background in car dealership processes; ideally apprenticeship in a car dealership 
  • Strong functional experience and background, also in general business and economical processes 
  • Good ability to work with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is a matter of course  
  • Sound spoken and written English required; any further language would be considered as an asset 
  • Customer orientation 
  •  Excellent communication (oral and in writing) and ability to judge 
  • Ability to work in an international team  
  • Self-discipline and dedication 
  • Organizational skills & flexibility  
  • Experienced employee working independently 
  • Willingness to travel
